AAP Demands dismissal of Delhi LG Over alleged favour to Daughter, Will go to court, says Sanjay Singh

New Delhi, 2 September 2022: In the ongoing AAP and Delhi LG hostile debacle, the Delhi government has again hit out to the Delhi LG V K Saxena for misusing his power and illegally handing over a contract to his daughter earlier when he was the chairman of KVIC.

In a press conference, Sanjay Singh, AAP Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dismiss the LG for unlawfully giving the Khadi Lounge’s interior designing contract to his daughter. “In awarding the contract, he violated the provisions of the KVIC Act 1961. It is a violation of the law,” Singh charged.

He sternly maintained, “Delhi LG can’t’ escape his misdeeds. We will soon be approaching the court in the matter because the due process of awarding the contract was not followed,” he said, asking “how can the KVIC chairman give a contract to his relative?”.

We are in the progress of consultations with the senior advocates and will drag this matter to the court, Rajya Sabha MP said.
