AAP government is not supporting MCD on various issues: Meenakshi Lekhi, MP

In a bid to tackle issues such as piling garbage, lack of cleanliness, and the pothole menace in their areas, voters in Delhi casted their ballot to BJP.

East Delhi has been the most affected area in terms of sanitation, with the frequent tussles between sanitation workers and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government aggravating the problem.

Talking to Ten News on the same issue, Meenakshi Lekhi, senior spokesperson of BJP said that, basically AAP government is not supporting BJP led MCD and making false allegations against the party.

She also said that, rather than making allegations on the BJP, Delhi government should sensibly act and should find a proper solution to the problem.

We believe we need to clean up our cities ourselves rather than keep cribbing about the system or the civic agencies and Swachh Bharat is playing a vital role in the maintaining the cleanliness in the society, she added.
