#AAP reaction on #BJP President Mr AmitShah’s comments.

> BJP President Mr Amit Shah, who is making wild claims about the ill-thought decision of his party’s central government to withdraw Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 currency notes will do well to once again see his party’s own stand of January 2014 about the same decision.
>
> Mr Shah should have thought twice before attacking his political rivals, including the Aam Aadmi Party, since he is living in a glass house and is not aware of the ground realities of the common man facing unnecessary hardships as a result of the foolish decision of the central government.
>
> AAP Delhi convenor Dilip Pandey said the party would like to hold a mirror to Mr Shah and refresh his memory by showing him what the BJP had said on the issue of demonetisation of currency in January 2014, when there reports of the then UPA government trying to implement it, which ultimately shelved it and news reports were denied by the then RBI Governor Mr Raghu Ram Rajan.

> “The AAM aurat and aadmis – those who are illiterate and have no access to the banking facilities will be the ones, hit by such diversionary measures. People with small savings, no bank accounts and their small life savings, will be targeted. The present scheme does nothing to remove black money from circulation. All the black money holders will legally convert their tender with no difficulty because they have the resources to hire people to sort their cash. This measure is strongly anti-poor. In India 65% population do not have bank accounts, and store their money in cash. These people are largely illiterate, poor, older and live in remote areas. They will fall victim to middlemen who will scare them that the notes are worthless, and charge them hefty fees to convert them. They will also be ripped off by shopkeepers after 1 April, saying the old notes can only be accepted at a discount.”

> · Mr Amit Shah should explain to the nation why now has the BJP done a U-turn suddenly on this issue ?
>
> · Can BJP deny that individuals close to it had prior information of the government decision ?
>
> · Can Mr Shah tell the nation what is the solution to the sufferings of the common man caused by his government’s ill-thought decision ?
