#AAP Youth Wing celebrates its Foundation Day with Fumigation Drives & Safai Abhiyans across Delhi
AAM AADMI PARTY’S Youth wing (AYW) celebrated its first foundation day in all 14 districts of the national capital on Sunday, 27 September, which coincided with the 115th birth anniversary of martyr Bhagat Singh.
Beginning at 6 AM, a “safai abhiyaan ” was carried out across Delhi, which continued till 9 AM, during which volunteers engaged in fruitful conversations on cleanliness and maintaining social hygiene with local residents. At Bhati mines area, children participated in large numbers.
The Safai abhiyaan was followed by Fumigation drives, as AYW volunteers have pledged to support the municipal system and work for prevention of mosquito breeding, the root cause behind spread of Dengue.
For almost fours hours the fumigation machines which were bought by the AAP were used in those areas which have seen higher cases of Dengue fever.
AYW Vice-president and Spokesperson, Nitish Raghuvanshi said “its always in the hearts of our team to work for the community and there could have been no better day than this to initiate our deed.the ideology behind this is to serve the society as well as develop leadership among youth to which I am personally Dedicated to “.
Later in day, tree plantation drive was carried out in many areas of the national capital. President of youth wing ANKUSH NARANG said that for over a week, suggestions were taken from public through social media as to design the activities of celebrating one year of AYW. And we believe what we did today truly enlightens the spirit of each AYW member as well as we are able to work for betterment of society.
