INAUGURATION OF UNDERPASS AND CHEST CLINIC, PRADESH PRESIDENT ADDRESSES BALMIKI DALIT SAMMELAN, EFFIGY OF KHARGE BURNT

New Delhi, 19^th December. Central Urban Development Minister Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated an underpass in Okhala/Sarita Vihar, South Delhi today in the presence ofMPs Shri Ramesh Bidhuri and Maheish Girri. On this occasion Shri Naidu said that on the one hand I am happy to inaugurate this underpass but on the other hand I am sorry to say that due to the negligence of the then corrupt Congress Government public fund of Rs. 265 crores were spent for a project of estimated cost of Rs. 88 crores only. Had the Congress been honest many other development works could have been done with the extra fund spent on this project. Shri Naidu assured the JJ Dwellers of Okhala area that BJP will not allow any Jhuggi to be removed without offering alternative place and where possible double storey building shall be constructed on the places where the present Jhuggies are located. MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri said that I will always try to develop Sarita Vihar as an ideal colony.

Central Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated renovated Chest clinic of North Corporation in Naya Bazar of Chandni Chowk AC. Area Councilor Smt. Surekha Hariom Gupta presided over the function held in the presence of NDMC Mayor Shri Yogender Chandolia, Deputy Mayor Shri Ravinder Gupta, Standing Committee Chairman Shri Mohan Bhardwaj. Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that the development of Chandni Chowk is my responsibility and its proof is that within 15 days of my winning election, I started the pending development works in Chandni Chowk and this development work is time bound.

Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay participated in the Balmiki Dalit Sammelan in Gole Market, New Delhi today. Speaking on this occasion Shri Upadhyay said that the Balmiki Community has an important place in Gole Market area and I will fully try to establish a skill development centre here for the children through the NDMC.

Under the leadership of BJP Asangathit Mazdoor Morcha President Shri Anand Sahu E-rickshaw drivers burnt effigy of leader Congress Parliamentary party Shri Mallikarjun Kharge. The E-rickshaw drivers were angry due to opposition to the E-Rickshaw Bill in Loksabha today and they raised slogans against him and burnt his effigy.
