AIIMS directors puts notice prohibiting Diwali gifts from vendors

New Delhi, 22 October 2022: Director of the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Delhi, Dr Srinivas has put out a notice declaring that he would refrain from accepting holiday gifts from suppliers, contractors, and organisations.

The order issued by Dr. Sinivas stated, “It is noted that representatives of numerous vendors, contractors, and agencies involved or wishing to be associated with AIMS are trying to meet the undersigned for holiday greetings with gifts, sweets, bouquets, etc.”

He further stated that he does not accept greetings or gifts from these people. “I refuse greetings or gifts from such people. The Administrative Staff and Security Department posted in the undersigned’s office are hereby requested to not permit any such guests into my office, he added.

Recently, on September 23, Dr. Srinivas was appointed the institute’s new director. Since then, he has made a number of decisions that have drawn attention to the institute’s operations, including the SOPs issued on October 17 for the medical care arrangements for the current members of Parliament.
