New Delhi, 12 October 2022: AIMIM has criticised West Delhi BJP MP, Parvesh Verma and filed an FIR against him for alleged hate speech at Virat Hindu Sabha, New Delhi.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen state president Kalimul Hafeez demanded that Parvesh Verma and others, including BJP officials Nand Kishore Gurjar, Acharya Yogeshwar, and Acharya Naval Kishore, be detained for delivering a hate speech, after he lodged a complaint at the GTB Nagar police station.
Parvesh Verma, an MP, advocated a “total boycott” of “these persons” at the Virat Hindu Sabha, but he did not specify which community.
Verma was overheard saying, “Wherever you see them, I propose that if you want to get their views straight… then there is only one remedy and that is complete boycott… ” in purported video footage of the occasion.” Are you in accordance? Put your hand up if you agree. With me, say: “We won’t work with them, we won’t buy anything from their stores, and we’ll completely boycott them.”
MP Verma then clarified that he had not named any particular religious minority by name. “I advocated for these families to be avoided because their members are responsible for such homicides. Avoid such a family if they run a restaurant or another business. My area has also seen instances of these crimes, ” he said, talking about his remark.
