Mumbai, 30th June 2023: Housefull 5, the fifth part in the comedy franchise, has been confirmed by Akshay Kumar. He made the announcement via Instagram on Friday.
He promised ‘five times the madness’ in the upcoming movie. Tarun Mansukhani will direct and Sajid Nadiadwala will produce the film.
His post on confirmed Riteish Deshmukh’s comeback, but the rest of the cast has yet to be disclosed. Akshay also disclosed that it will hit theatres around Diwali next year.
Akshay shared the poster of ‘Housefull 5’ on Instagram and wrote, “Get ready for FIVE times the madness! Bringing to y’all #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5 Directed by @Tarunmansukhani. See you in cinemas on Diwali 2024! @Riteishd @NGEMovies @WardaNadiadwala.”
Akshay and Ritiesh have remained constants in the Housefull movies. Sajid Khan directed the first and second movies, Sajid-Farhad directed the third, and Farhad Samji directed the fourth.
Housefull (2010) starred Akshay and Riteish, as well as Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani, and Chunky Pandey. Housefull 2 (2012) starred John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, and the late Rishi Kapoor.
Abhishek Bachchan appeared in Housefull 3 (2016) alongside Jacqueline, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon. Housefull 4 (2019) was the most current and featured a nearly entirely new ensemble in addition to Akshay and Ritiesh. Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda were among the cast members.
