New Delhi (India), 27th April 2023: In a recent interview Bollywood megastar Alia Bhatt claimed that when it comes to the people she loves, especially Raha, she is quite protective.
She said that for the time being, she and her actor husband Ranbir want Raha to stay out of the spotlight.
Alia said that she has been enjoying her time with Raha Bhatt Kapoor, her infant. After getting married in April 2022, Alia and Ranbir Kapoor had a child together in November of that same year.
The actress in an interview with Vogue said, “Ranbir and I are very clear on how long we don’t want Raha to be in the public eye for. We don’t even want to post her pictures on social media. I just don’t feel comfortable with any sort of conversation around my little baby right now. There have been so many good wishes, so many blessings. I’m constantly referred to as Raha’s mommy, which I love and find it very cute. But that’s all I’m okay with right now.”
She further added, “I’m very protective of the people I love. And I genuinely don’t think that a baby needs to be a public personality. Again, that’s my opinion right now.”
In the interview Alia opened up about her life in the public eye and how it comes with a responsibility especially when it comes to her child. She stated, “We also have to be practical as individuals in the public eye. And it’s not like we’re saying nobody can see her ever. It’s just for now. And people have mostly been very respectful about that.”
Talking about the paparazzi, she said that so far they have been respectful of her privacy barring the February incident when she was photographed in her living room.
Commenting on that incident, Alia said, “I think it’s fair for me to expect privacy in my own home. Honestly, there’s no beef, no angst, no upset. I said what I had to say and received a lot of support for it. And I think people also understood that what I was asking for wasn’t too much.”
