ALL DELHI COLLEGES SHOULD IMMEDIATELY START ADMISSION AS PER THREE YEAR COURSE

A special meeting of Delhi BJP Office Bearers in the presence of Pradesh Incharge and MP Shri Prabhat Jha passed a resolution thanking University Grant Commission (UGC) and the Central Government for reverting Delhi University Graduation Course to three years course as per the demand of the student and teaching community.

Resolution says that 10+2+3 Public Education Policy is prevailing all over the country and is approved by the Parliament of India. Thus it is not in the interest of education system or the students that one particular city or state university implements its own agenda to decide a different course.

Resolution unanimously approved says that UGC decision in no way effects the autonomy of Delhi University because UGC has to decide in the mass interest of students and education policy and in this case Delhi University was going against the main stream system. UGC has only tried to keep DU in the main stream.

Delhi BJP Office Bearers meet decided that tomorrow a delegation of the Delhi unit shall meet HRD Minister Smt. Smriti Irani to request her that UGC and the Centre Government should immediately direct nearly 36 colleges which have suspended admission process to immediately start admission as per three year course.

The meet express satisfaction that by the virtue of UGC decision Delhi BJP’s election Manifesto commitment stands fulfilled.
