All India Federation of Anganwadi workers stage massive protest in National Capital

New Delhi: On February 25, All India Federation of anganwadi workers and helpers organised a massive protest in the national capital in a hope to materialize their demands.



The protest was joined by thousands of anganwadi workers and helpers to demonstrate the anger against the ruling government in centre.

The Aaganwadi Workers and Helpers also marched to Jantar Mantar from Mandi House to express their anger against the ruling government in centre.

Hailing form several states, women stage massive sit-in in national capital in a hope that their protest will help in material I see their demands and the government will respond.

When Ten News spoke to several Anganwadi workers about their issues, one of the women in her 40s said, “we are getting only around 6000 rupees and it took two to three months to get the amount credited to our account, we have to reach to the officials two question why our accounts has not been credited with the salary, the officers usually replies that right now we have not allocated with the proper budget that’s why this time your salary may get credited in some days.”

The protestering women also claimed that Prime Minister announced increment in their salaries (of Anganwadi workers) but the scheme still have not been implemented and we are getting the same salary as we were getting earlier.

While some of the woman in the protest claim that into small amount they are not able to manage their expenses, the protesters also demanded a proper salary and pension.

Now question arises that the ruling government in centre will be able to metalized their demands or not in their tenure which is ending in few months
