New Delhi: Anna Hazare’s movement against corruption started at Ramlila Maidan this morning. Anna Hazare first visited Rajghat, and then Shaheedi Park as a sign of respect towards Bhagat Singh.

Anna Hazare, who did not want to politicize his movement the last time, faced a situation where many of his “followers” went ahead and formed the Aam Aadmi Party. This time the social activist and his team say they have taken concrete steps to ensure that no such thing happens again.

Anna hazare team also agreed to share their space with the SSC Protesters. As SSC aspirants have been protesting since February 27, seeking a CBI investigation into the alleged paper leak.

Anna Hazare on Saturday first visited Rajghat, and then Shaheedi Park as a sign of respect towards Bhagat Singh.Hazare has been pressing for setting up of the Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas in the states, besides implementation of the Swaminathan Commission report, which has suggested ways to address the agrarian distress.Hazare previously has accused the Union government of not appointing the Lokpal to investigate the cases of corruption, despite having a law in place.

Briefing Media at Ramlila Ground, Hazare said that no politician or members of political party will be allowed to join the demonstration and people have been asked to sign a document pledging they’ll not join any political party. Taking a dig at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was on strike with Mr Hazare in 2011, the activist said, “People came last time and then made their own parties or joined another party. This time, no one is allowed and if they come, they won’t be allowed to sit with me”.
