New Delhi, 15th May 2023: Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday urged the protesting wrestlers to end their rallies.
This comes a day after the ad-hoc committee formed to run the WFI on Saturday took full control of the body following a written directive from the Indian Olympic Association.
Minister Thakur further urged the protestors to ‘have faith in law and order.’ He further pointed out that the Supreme Court has intervened in the matter already, and the Delhi police officials are also recording their statements regarding the same.
The Union minister constituted the ad hoc committee responsible for holding elections for the WFI’s executive committee within 45 days of its inception. It was also in charge of the body’s day-to-day operations.
