Mumbai (India), 21st May 2023: Actor Anushka Sharma will make her film festival debut at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, which began May 16.
On Sunday, the actress was photographed leaving Mumbai airport for the famous film festival, where she will acknowledge women in film alongside Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet.
Anushka chose a comfortable outfit for travelling, as she was photographed dressed in a white T-shirt and black trousers. She completed her ensemble with dark sunglasses, a sling bag, and matching headgear.
Emmanuel Lenain, the French Ambassador to India, announced Anushka’s appearance in Cannes earlier this month. He shared the photo with the actress and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, on his Twitter account. He captioned the post and informed, “”A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma! I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka’s trip to #CannesFilmFestival.”
Along with this Anushka is also also the brand ambassador to L’Oreal and will be representing them in the event.
Other Bollywood celebrities like Sara Ali Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Urvashi Rautella have already been spotted at Cannes and have been wooing the audience with their desi twist in the French Riviera.
Anushka Sharma is an influential actress and following a cameo in Qala, Anushka will appear next in the film Chakda Xpress.
Prosit Roy directed the sports biopic, which is based on the life of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. For the first time in her career, Anushka will be seen playing a cricketer. The sports drama will also make its debut on Netflix.
