Mumbai (India), 6th June 2023: Several new innovations were unveiled at WWDC 2023, an event which commenced on June 5th and will conclude on June 9th in Cupertino, California. The announcements included Adaptive Audio, which intelligently combines noise reduction with transparency passthrough based on your surroundings.

Adaptive Audio will be available alongside full active noise suppression and transparency mode. When activated, the AirPods Pro constantly analyse your surroundings and adjust ANC and transparency to provide the best possible listening experience.

When the AirPods detect voice, a “conversation awareness” feature will immediately enable transparency mode and lower the volume of music, similar to how Sony and other brands’ earbuds do. When you stop speaking, your audio will revert to normal.

Apple also demonstrated significantly improved background noise reduction to keep individuals on the opposite end of a phone call from hearing unwanted distractions.

To demonstrate their performance a marching band surrounded a person wearing Apple’s second-generation AirPods Pro during the WWDC AirPods segment. The band cacophony was hardly audible to the individual on the other end of the phone line.

Apple also announced that FaceTime will be available on TV screens (along with support for Continuity Camera). Apps for the platform will be released by Zoom and WebEx. tvOS 17 will also include a Siri Remote location tool, a revamped Control Centre, and other improvements.
