Greater Noida News (26/06/2026): Apple has announced a significant increase in the prices of several of its premium products, including MacBook and iPad models, making the devices considerably more expensive for consumers in India and several other markets. The revised pricing has been updated on the company’s official website and is now effective across eligible product categories.
According to the latest price revision, the cost of select Apple devices has increased by approximately 20 to 42 percent. The steepest hike has been recorded in certain MacBook Pro models powered by Apple’s latest M5-series chips, with prices increasing by as much as ₹1 lakh depending on the configuration. Several iPad models have also witnessed notable price revisions, adding to the cost burden for customers planning to purchase Apple’s premium devices.
Apple has attributed the price increase to the rising cost of manufacturing components, particularly memory chips, processors, and other critical hardware used in its products. The company said that increasing production expenses, coupled with ongoing global supply chain challenges and higher semiconductor costs, have significantly raised the overall manufacturing cost of its devices.
Industry experts believe that the growing demand for high-performance memory and storage chips, largely driven by the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and data centres worldwide, has further tightened component supplies. As a result, technology manufacturers, including Apple, are facing higher procurement costs, which are now being reflected in retail prices.
