New Delhi (India), 7th June 2023: The new iOS 17 feature complements many safety enhancements. Apple continues to innovate with its products, the most recent being a new feature to its phone operating system that cautions against unauthorised nude photographs.
Apple said in a news release that Messages will now have the Sensitive Content Warning function, which will assist adult customers in avoiding seeing unwelcome nude photographs and videos on their iPhones.
The new function is one of several changes coming with iOS 17. Other privacy enhancements, in addition to the Sensitive Content Warning feature, include an update to Communication Safety, an earlier feature that prevents youngsters from accessing or sharing nude photographs in the Messages app.
AirDrop, FaceTime, Contact Posters, and even the Photos app will now benefit from the capability.
The new iOS will also contain accessibility enhancements such as Assistive Access, which allows users with cognitive challenges to customise their interface to make the iPhone easier to use.
Live Speech allows nonspeaking users to have the words they write given to them in person, whilst Personal Voice allows users with speech loss to create a voice that sounds similar to their own. Meanwhile, blind and low-vision persons can utilise Point and Speak to read text on tangible things by pointing.
These new enhancements that come with iOS 17 complement previous safety improvements that Apple has made to its devices. Apple introduced Lockdown Mode in July of last year to safeguard consumers against spyware.
