New Delhi (26th December, 2019): Today, Asia’s Biggest Healthcare Leadership Summit, the “Six Sigma Healthcare Summit and Excellence Awards 2019” was organized in the presence of Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat, two Param Vir Chakra awardees Subedar Major Yogender Yadav and Subedar Major Bana Singh, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Yadav and Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur amongst many other eminent army and political leaders.

The awards were presented by General Bipin Rawat and later by MoS Anurag Singh Thakur in 37 different categories including best hospital, best doctor, best healthcare entrepreneur of the year to individuals and organizations who excelled in their respective domains.

Speaking at the event, General Bipin Rawat, said, “There is something special about Six Sigma Healthcare that Indian Army is allowing the organization to get trained along with them. The service provided by the organization is commendable and I would like to appreciate all the members of the Six Sigma Healthcare for their exemplary efforts.”

Further talking about the leadership quality, he said, “Inheriting Leadership quality seems to be very easy but it is very difficult. Leadership is the virtue of soldiers, which they earn through hardship in difficult circumstances.

“Leaders are not those who lead people in inappropriate directions, as we are witnessing in a large number of universities and college students…the way they are leading masses of crowds to carry out arson and violence in our cities and towns.”

“When we talk about sizzling winter of Delhi, My heart goes with the soldiers who are posted at Siachen facing whether conditions. We should salute the zeal of our soldiers.” He said.

While delivering the welcome address, Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj, CEO of Six Sigma Star Healthcare talked about the work Six Sigma is doing in the field of health care sector and how the organization is providing its services at High altitude in adverse weather conditions.

He said “It’s a big honor for us as a private organization that we are getting opportunity to get trained with Indian Armed Forces which is a result of our selfless service that we offering in mountains. We have a group of 350 top hospitals and whatever we earn from it, we invest it for the welfare services. During the Uttarakhand floods our volunteer rescued 5600 people trapped in Badrinath.

At present Six Sigma is a leading healthcare management organization in India with over 350 Top Hospitals as clients, 2500 Healthcare Projects, Managing 8000 Manpower, 357 Doctors – Para Medicals, completed 102 NABH Accreditations, Rescued 5600 Victims on High Altitudes, Over 53000 lives transformed by serving up to the height of 24500 Feet, Trained 7680 professionals by Organizing 5 International Conferences, 26 NABH Internal Audits Training, 17 JCI Internal Audit, 21 Green / Black Belt Courses and geographic footprint in the 42 cities of India.

The main highlight of this event were Param Vir Chakra recipient Subedar Major Yogender Yadav and Subedar Major Bana Singh who were honoured and called as “Real heroes of the nation” by Dr. Bhardwaj.

Subedar Major Yogender Yadav, said, “Because of the doctors, we soldiers get courage to fight fearlessly because we have a feeling of assurance that if anything happen to us we have capable doctors who will take care of us.”

MoS for Finance & Corporate Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur graced the event in second half and felicitated large number of awardees. Speaking at the summit, he shared some facts and figure showcasing how medical science has increased the life expectancy of human beings in past two centuries. He also added that in last few years India has achieved some major goals like, getting rid of polio completely.

He also mentioned the Central Government scheme Aayushman Bharat and said” The scheme is one of its kind scheme in the the world which is giving cover of 5 lakh to 50 lakh population. I urge hospitals and doctors to support this scheme and give their contribution in it.”
