Asha Bhosle Calls Herself ‘Last Mughal’ Of Bollywood Film Industry

Mumbai(India), 09/08/23: Asha Bhosle, the legendary playback singer, attended a ceremony honouring her legacy in the Indian film business on Tuesday in Mumbai. During the ceremony, she reflected on her career and remarked that each and every singer present today was born in front of her and that she knows every story about Indian showbiz.
The press conference took place at Taj Lands End in Bandra, ahead of her ‘Asha 90 Live Concert’ in Dubai, where the 90-year-old will play live for more than two hours.
During the press conference, Asha talked with the new-age performers and stated that she still remembers the events that occurred in the industry during her time.
During the ceremony, Asha addressed the crowd and claiming that she began singing Hindi songs after moving to Mumbai in 1945, and that all of the artists and musicians present were born right in front of her eyes.
She said, “I recall the old stories, as well as the filmmakers and music directors of the day. I was familiar with all of them. Today, the only person who can tell you the history of the film industry is myself.”
She further added, “Only I am familiar with the history of the film industry. There are so many stories that if I start telling them, it will take me 3-4 days to finish. Nothing has slipped my mind. I am the final Mughal in this film series.”
During the press conference, she also rewarded the audience and sang the popular song ‘Ye Vaada Raha’ for the audience.
