ATMs to be under CCTV surveilence, DC Faridabad.

In view of the rising cases of ATM theft and breaking open of ATM in the city, the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal has released and advisory for all banks to have all the ATM centers equipped with CCTV. He has also issued instructions to keep the ATM guarded round the clock. The banks have been intimated in this regard and been told to comply with the directions within 15 days.

These directions were issued under the circumstances when a number of ATM machines were forced opened and many were attempted to be taken away by the miscreants. In most of the cases the ATMs were found ungurded and no witnesses were presented. Hence, need of CCTV was also felt.
