Autonomous Bodies under various Ministries Protests against non-grant of Bonus to them for the last 4 years

New Delhi (22/10/2019): Autonomous Bodies under various Ministries of the Central Government such as ICAR, CSIR, ICMR, Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, JNU, IGNOU, NSD, Kendriya Vidyalayas, IIT etc. today, took out a March to Parliament against non-grant of Bonus to them for the last 4 years, under the banner of Indian Public Service Employees’ Federation (IPSEF) from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar.


The employees assembled in front of the main gate of National School of Drama, Bhagwandas Road, New Delhi and marched towards Parliament in a disciplined procession raising slogans such as — “Pay Bonus immediately to employees”.

Speaking to Ten News, Deepak Kaul, Secretary (CJSC), informed that today in all the 108 institutes and 64 KVKs, employees wore black badge/ribbon and held demonstrations in their respective institute/KVK.

Yograj Chandelia, National President, KVS Non-Teaching Staff Association & M.B. Aggrawal, National General Secretary, All India KVS Teachers’ Association, stated that today Kendriya Vidyalayas all over the country protested the Govt.’s attitude of not paying Bonus to them.

The National Convener of FOCUS (Federation of Central Universities’ Staff) Jacob P.C. stated that in all the central universities various programmes have been organized. Jabir Hasan & Aetqad Ahmad from Jamia Millia Islamia requested the Central Govt. to give up its discriminatory attitude towards central universities’ staff and pay them Bonus before Diwali festival. Ram Avtar Meena & Satbir Singh, respectively President & General Secretary, NSD Workers’ Union, expressed their unwavering support to IPSEF-led programmes in the interest of employees of Autonomous Bodies.

The National Convener of IPSEF (Autonomous Bodies) Deepak Kumar cautioned the Government against the discrimination being meted out to the Autonomous Bodies and their employees and warned that the employees will raise their united voice against the dilution of role of autonomous bodies.
