Ayushmann Khuranna’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ Postponed for August release

Mumbai (India), 25th April 2023: The eagerly awaited movie Dream Girl 2 has been delayed. Ayushmann Khurrana, who plays the lead in the movie and has previously played the role of Karam Singh or Pooja, along with co-star Ananya Panday shared the news. The movie was originally scheduled to open in theatres on July 7 of this year, however now the film will be released on August 25, 2023, according to the producers.

Both Ananya Panday and Ayushmann Khurrana posted a message with the revised release date on their Instagram pages.

Interestingly enough, the post included a note that was read out by Pooja( Ayushman’s feminine voice) . It said, “Mere priya Aashiqon, Chaar saal baad aapke Dil Ka Telephone phir se ring ring hoga. Ab iske liye taiyaari bhi toh shaandaar, dhamakedaar aur smoochiebhari honi chahiye na? Toh karo thoda aur intezaar; And keep sending lots of pyaar! Ab #7KoSaathMein nahin, Pooja ki kiss on August Pachees! Dream Girl 2 releasing in theatres on 25th August 2023. -Aapki pyaari Pooja.”

Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, and Rajpal Yadav all appear in Dream Girl 2. It is the follow-up to the popular 2019 movie Dream Girl, in which Nushratt Bharuccha and Ayushmann co-starred. Ayushmann played a hotline caller who would change his voice to sound like a girl in the movie.

Raaj Shaandilyaa is the director and Ekta Kapoor is the producer of Dream Girl 2.
