Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti forgot script at IIFA, reveals Tahira Kashyap

New Delhi: The IIFA Awards this year were special as the event was held in hometown Mumbai on the completion of 20 years. However, the actor brothers Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana made it even more special by hosting the show together.

The duo kept the audience entertained with their fun antics during the entire event. Though, there was a little secret which Ayushmann’s wife Tahira Kashyap revealed. She told in one of her Instagram posts that the two ‘detoured from their script’ but managed to survive on stage with their ‘own lame yet funny’ jokes.

Tahira had shared a boomerang video of the brothers and wrote, “The two lovely hosts who pretty much detoured from the script and cracked their own lame yet funny ones. Well done boys!”

Actor Ayushmann was joined in by Tahira and Aparshakti was accompanied by his wife Akriti Ahuja on the green carpet of IIFA Awards 2019. Ayushmann wore a white and black suit and Tahira was dressed in an off-shoulder dark pink gown paired with spectacles.

Earlier, Tahira had shared her look for the evening on her Instagram page and had received compliments from her Bollywood friends. Twinkle Khanna said, “Wah”, Oscar winning filmmaker Guneet Monga called her “Gorgeous” in the comments section. Singer Neeti Mohan reacted to her look saying, “So cute” whereas Ekta Kapoor called her “Rockingggggggggggg.”

In an overwhelming moment, Ranveer went ahead and appreciated Ayushmann Khurrana’s work. He even kissed the actor oh his cheek, which delightedly surprised the actor brothers, Ayushmann and Aparshakti.

Ayushmann Khurrana is currently enjoying the success of his latest release, Dream Girl. The film is doing exceptionally well at the box office, it has already crossed Rs 50 crore mark. Ayushmann stars opposite Nushrat Bharucha in the film, who walked the green carpet in a bright blue gown.
