National News (26/08/2026): Bajaj Auto has commemorated 25 years of its iconic Pulsar motorcycle brand with the launch of the all-new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125. The latest models bring a significant upgrade in performance, technology, chassis dynamics and connected features while retaining the signature styling and sporty character that have made Pulsar one of India’s most recognised motorcycle brands.
The new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125 have been introduced at starting introductory prices of ₹1,15,233 and ₹92,900 respectively, ex-showroom Delhi.
Launched in 2001, Pulsar helped redefine the Indian motorcycle market at a time when two-wheelers were primarily viewed as practical modes of daily transportation. With its muscular styling, strong performance and distinctive road presence, the Pulsar established a new category of performance-oriented motorcycles and became a popular choice among younger riders.
Over the past 25 years, the brand has expanded its global footprint, with more than 20 million Pulsar motorcycles sold across over 40 countries. While the new models incorporate modern engineering and technology, Bajaj Auto has retained the core characteristics associated with the Pulsar name, including its aggressive stance, muscular fuel tank, strong acceleration and distinctive engine note.
New Engine and Gearbox
Both motorcycles receive updated powertrains designed to deliver a more engaging and refined riding experience.
The Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149.5cc engine producing 14 PS at 8,500 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The Pulsar 125, meanwhile, gets a 124.58cc engine generating 12 PS at 8,000 rpm and 11 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Bajaj Auto claims the new Pulsar 125 is the most powerful motorcycle in the 125cc segment.
The motorcycles also feature an improved power-to-weight ratio, aimed at delivering quicker acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h. A newly developed gearbox further enhances low-speed performance by providing stronger tractive effort in the lower gears.
New Frame and Monoshock Setup
Bajaj Auto has equipped both motorcycles with an all-new diamond-type frame designed to offer greater rigidity and improved handling. The engine also functions as a structural stiffness member, contributing to better overall stability and ride dynamics.
Another major change is the introduction of a nitrogen gas-charged emulsion-type monoshock suspension. The new setup is designed to provide better straight-line stability, sharper handling and greater composure while cornering.
5-Inch TFT Console with Google Maps
The latest Pulsar models also receive a new 5-inch TFT instrument console, bringing connected features to the motorcycles.
The display supports Google Maps mirroring and navigation, allowing riders to access directions directly through the console. Users can also store important vehicle-related documents, including the registration certificate and insurance details, on the display.
The connected system further provides incoming call and message notifications, along with music control functions, adding greater convenience for everyday riding.
Three Ride Modes and Crawl Tech
For the first time in the segment, the new Pulsar models offer three riding modes — Road, Rain and Sport. These modes allow riders to adapt the motorcycle’s characteristics to different road and weather conditions.
The motorcycles also feature Crawl Tech, which is designed to make low-speed riding easier and provide greater control in congested traffic. The feature is aimed particularly at improving convenience during stop-and-go urban riding.
Redesigned LED Headlamp
The new Pulsar range gets a redesigned Wolf-Eye LED headlamp, giving the motorcycles a sharper and more aggressive appearance. The larger optical elements enhance the distinctive predator-inspired front profile.
According to Bajaj Auto, the top-spec Pulsar 150 variant offers a best-in-class combination of headlamp throw, spread and intensity.
Automatic Start-Stop Technology
The new Intelligent Start-Generator (ISG) system is available on the top three variants of both the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125.
The automatic start-stop functionality is designed to help improve fuel efficiency, particularly during frequent stops in city traffic. Bajaj Auto also says the system reduces mechanical complexity and contributes to a smoother and more refined riding experience.
Speaking at the launch, Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer, Two-wheeler Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said Pulsar has remained an important part of the company’s motorcycle portfolio for more than two decades and has introduced generations of riders to performance motorcycling.
He said the new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125 retain the brand’s distinctive character while incorporating new engineering, technology and features suited to contemporary riders.
Prices
The new Pulsar 150 has been launched at an introductory price of ₹1,15,233, while the new Pulsar 125 starts at ₹92,900, with both prices being ex-showroom Delhi.
