Bank of Maharashtra Delhi Zone Celebrates Bank’s 88th Foundation Day with a message ‘Customer Is King‘

New Delhi, 17 September 2022: Bank of Maharashtra Delhi Zone celebrated Bank’s 88th foundation day in New Delhi on September 16, 2022.

 

The celebration began with traditional lamp lighting ceremony and Sarasvati Vandana, followed by welcome address, chief guest words of wisdom and the Bank officers enthusiastically presenting all their products to the customers including their schemes for a variety of loans, MSMEs, Education, Housing and so on. Even the customers interacted with them talking about their years of experience with the bank and how it has played a major role in their success.

 

“Today the bank of Maharashtra is celebrating its 88th foundation day across India with its 42 zones, 2100+ branches, including our head office in Pune with our esteemed customers. This is an opportunity that we have got to interact with the customers,” said Dyannic and energetic Zonal Head, Chitra Datar.

 

“This bank had started with a capital of only Rs 10 lakhs, and now after 88 years, the total business of the bank has been more than Rs 3.36 lakhs crores. The journey was really challenging but we established ourselves in Maharashtra as our first branch was at Bajirao Road in Pune and today we have 2100+ branches across the country. We have also been ranked number one amongst the public sector banks majority and f the parameters. A few years back, when the PCA was imposed on several banks including us, we were the first bank to have come out of it and we have not looked back since,” she added with pride.

 

Chief guest, Akhilesh Jha, Chief Controller of Accounts, Dpt of Science and Technology, Govt of India praised the bank and said, “The bank of Maharashtra has always committed to its customers and I want to request them to stand on their tagline ‘One family one bank’, it would be their biggest contribution to banking sector .”

“There are profits and losses in a business, but if you lose the relationship and trust it is difficult to get it back. The bank had ranked number one and it definitely proves fruitful for their customers as well. I also request you to not only publicise your good work but also interact with your customers and stakeholders about the areas that are not doing well and need assistance,’ he advised the BOM Management.

 

The event was graciously witnessed Nayana Sahasrabuddhe, DGM Govt Business Cell, Delhi Zone, Rajeev Kumar, DGM & Deputy Zonal Manager, Delhi Zone, the large number of livterm and big customers. Many of the customers showered the praise on its officers, staff, Products etc. Some also conveyed the gaps in services and suggestions for improvements.

The program ended with elegant vote of thanks by Ms Nayna and the dinner.
