Bank of Maharashtra opens new branch in Noida sector 75, sanctions 15-crore loan on the first day

Noida, 27th July: Bank on Maharashtra (BOM) on Wednesday opened a new branch in Noida sector 75. This is bank’s 52nd branch in the Noida zone which will serve the people of western UP and Uttarakhand. Three more branches are lined up in Noida zone. In the next three months, it plans to open 50 branches across the country.

Speaking during the inauguration, Divesh Dinkar, General Manager, I.T., Bank of Maharashtra, said, “We are happy and proud to inform the customers that Bank of Maharashtra today has 57% of Current Account Saving Account (CASA), which is the highest amongst all the public sector banks. It shows the trust of the customers and gives us confidence to have more and more outreach with the customers. As a bank corporate decision, we want to open a branch in every district of the country.”

Talking of schemes and products of the bank, Divesh said, “Almost every fortnight, the bank is coming up with new products, including waiving of processing fees for house loans and other retail schemes which shows the customer centric behavior of the bank. We have launched Mahaswagatam schemes for MSME customers, inaugurated a new forex center in Noida sector 27, and inaugurated a new housing finance branch in Noida zone. All these initiatives are taken for the benefit of the customer so that the bank’s best products initiated at headquarters reach the grassroot levels.”

Talking to Ten News about his expectations from sector 75 branch, Divesh said, “We have today inaugurated this branch with almost 15 crores of credit sanctions. The branch has, on its inaugural, delivered a sanction to a MSME unit. Going forward, we expect this branch should at least cross the business of about 25-30 crores in this financial year. This segment focuses more on retail and MSME units since post Covid, there is exponential growth and demand in the market. We have also launched co-lending schemes, we have various tie-ups with FinTechs to help our units to avail the banking facilities in terms of loans, we also have channel financing apart from the export and import credit facilities.”

Appealing to public to allow the bank to serve them, he said, “We are present across all platforms including UPI, mobile banking, IIPS or whatsapp channels. My request to customers is that whether it is the liabilities side or assets side, we have the best of the best products, you are always welcome to let us know what the requirements are and the bank assures you that we will be extremely proactive with sanctions and services.”

Nayana Sahasrabuddhe, Deputy General Manager; Bikram Tripathi, Zonal Manager – Noida; Sribatsa Karan, Deputy Zonal Manager – Noida; Ankit Rathi, Sector 75 Branch Manager and branch staff were present on the occasion.
