Banker offered lift on NH-24, is robbed by cabbie, ‘co-passengers’

Ghaziabad: A 51-year-old banker has claimed he was robbed of his gold ring, mobile phone and cash in a moving cab on NH-24 in Ghaziabad by three armed men on Saturday.

Ajay Verma, who works as a deputy manager with a public sector bank’s Loha Mandi branch in Kavi Nagar, said, on Monday he got into the white-coloured Indica from Lal Kuan bus stand around 6.45 pm while returning to his home in Hapur from office, presuming it to be a shared cab.
