#BCCI anti-corruption unit chief resigns

Anti corruption Unit (ACU)  chief of BCCI,Ravi Sawani has resigned from the post citing personal reasons. Former Delhi top cop Neeraj Kumar is likely to succeed him.

Neeraj Kumar was roped in as an advisor to ACU in April this year. Some reports indicate Sawani resigned at that time itself, but he was requested to stay on board till the end of IPL 8.  He will serve a notice period of one month. Sawani is known to be close to ex BCCI President N Srinivasan. According to ESPN Cricinfo, BCCI sources have denied any relation to change in power dynamics within the organisation with Sawani’s resignation.  Sawani who is currently in Europe confirmed the news about his resignation to Indian Express.
