Bharat Tex 2025: Bharat M Chhajer Highlights Focus on Organic Fibers and Growing Buyer Interest

New Delhi (30 August 2024): As anticipation builds for Bharat Tex 2025, scheduled from February 14 to 17, 2025, a key Steering Committee meeting took place on August 28, 2024, to finalize preparations. During the meeting, Ten News Network spoke with several key figures involved in the expo, including Bharat M Chhajer, Past Chairman of PDEXCIL.
Chhajer highlighted the expo’s evolution since its inaugural edition in 2024, which was met with tremendous success. “India is constantly upgrading,” he said. “This year, we are enhancing our focus on organic materials and natural fibers, with an emphasis on eco-friendly products. We anticipate a significant response from sourcing buyers.”
He pointed out that the main attractions of Bharat Tex 2025 will include natural fibers, notably those derived from pineapple, banana, and fruit grains. “Dewas, which was present in the previous edition, will showcase an expanded range of products this time.”
Chhajer emphasized that Bharat Tex offers a unique platform that has garnered international acclaim. “Our textile industry is on track to meet the $100 billion target set by Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh. With a goal of attracting 4,000 buyers—up from 3,000 last year—we aim to establish India as the premier sourcing destination.”
The upcoming Bharat Tex 2025 promises to build on the success of its predecessor, further elevating India’s position in the global textile industry.
