New Delhi(12/01/2020): In Delhi, Bhim Army Students Federation activists came out on the road to get Chandrashekhar Azad released. The activists reached Jantar Mantar today, demanding the release of Chandrasekhar, where they performed a peaceful dharna.

The students raised slogans which conveyed that the police should release Chandrasekhar as soon as possible.

Let us also inform you that the police had taken Bhima Army Chief Chandrashekhar into custody from Jama Masjid and later arrested Chandrashekhar on Saturday afternoon by registering a case in other sections, including obstructing government work, inciting people and inciting riots. Apart from Chandrasekhar, the police arrested 15 people on charges of spreading violence, back on the same day.

Earlier, Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar managed to escape from there by dodging the police during a demonstration in Delhi. But in the evening, once again Chandrasekhar reached among his supporters present in Jama Masjid and started shouting slogans. There he said that until this black law is withdrawn, the protest will continue.

Speaking to Ten News, Bhim Army State President Himanshu Valmiki said, “The government has to release our Chief Chandrashekhar Azad. Before, he was not provided with proper medical assistance and after we demanded a proper treatment for him, the government quickly generated a notice to the police to provide him adequate medical assistance for his wellness. Today we demand him to be released as the charges on him are all fake as he was just protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act and that is the right of every Indian.”

Speaking about what happened in JNU on January 5th, he said, “It is pretty clear that who all were among the rioters that day. All the innocent students of JNU faced a brutal and violent situation which made many of them get injured. All those RSS and ABVP goons have to realise that they are going to pay for what they did!”
