Big Boss Contestant Tehseen Poonawalla burns Citizenship Amendment Bill at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi, On December 11: Today, Bigg Boss 13’s Contestant Tehseen Poonawalla was forcefully dragged out from the premises alloted for protest at Jantar Mantar as he burned the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

Tehseen along with his supporters reached Jantar Mantar and raised slogan against the the government and called it unconstitutional and illegal. Challenging cops as he started burning the bill, the cops overpowered him and dragged him out of the premises.

Interacting with Ten News over the row he said, “The economy is a mess, Onion prices are soaring, States are not getting their GST share, Tax revenues are falling, The telecom sector is destroyed with investment in 5G is lagging, Infrastructure is a mess, Media employees are being laid off but government is occupied with Citizenship Amendment Bill along with NRC.”

Further he added “I am nor afraid of the government neither of Amit Shah’s police. I will burn this bill in Parliament, anybody who wants to do anything to me, can do.” He also claimed that bill will lapse in Rajya Sabha.

Couple of hours ago, the Home Minister Amit Shah has tabled the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Rajya Sabha for its final passage to grant citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who faced persecution in their respective countries.
