New Delhi (India), 23rd March 2023: The co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, referred to ChatGPT and related AI developments as “revolutionary” and detailed his expectations for the potential of artificial intelligence in a blog post titled “The Age of AI has begun”.
Bill Gates has a personal blog called ‘Gates Notes’. The Microsoft co-founder pens down his personal opinions on current affairs in his blog. The most recent post was surrounded on the topic of generative AI and ChatGPT.
In late 2022, ChatGPT emerged as the first and most sophisticated “generative AI” tool that was openly accessible. That indicates that it has access to a sizeable informational database and can independently generate answers, songs, and other appearances of comprehension.
In his post Gates said that the technology offered by ChatGPT, “…inspired me to think about all the things that AI can achieve in the next five to 10 years.”
He further added that he has, “seen two demonstrations of technology that struck me as revolutionary…” in his life and ChatGPT was one of them.
He claimed that since 2016, he has met with OpenAI, the organisation that created ChatGPT. The letter also discussed a wide range of topics, including general productivity gains and world health issues.
