@BIMTECHGreaterNoida – International conference on Management cases (ICMC) 2014
Birla Institute of management technology (BIMTECH), along with The School of Public Policy, George Mason University, Arlington, Virginia (USA), hosted the 5th International Conference on Management Cases (ICMC 2014), a premiere conference on case studies in India, at the BIMTECH Greater Noida campus on the 3rd and 4th of December.
ICMC 2015 provided a platform for stimulating original and unpublished, research cases in various facets of management aimed at international relevance and saw many participants, including faculty, students, research scholars etc., from over 50 countries, including India, U.A.E, Japan, Finland etc. It is one of the oldest running conference on case studies in Asia.
The first day witnessed the inaugural session of the conference with two keynote speakers, Johanna Kujala- Associate Professor of business Management, Director of the RESPMAN and Richard McCracken- Director of The Case Centre. Inauguration Ceremony started with the welcoming of all the delegates followed by the Lighting of Lamp and a welcome speech by the Director of BIMTECH- Shri Harivansh Chaturvedi
First keynote speaker- Johanna Kujala gave her enlightening views on the theme “Responsible Brands and Branding: Explicating Ethics and Responsibility in Business”. Her thoughts revolved around five major elements which included Communication, Implementation, Innovation, Assessment and Engagement.
Second keynote Speaker- Richard McCracken shared his thoughts on the theme “Case writing for the case Centre”. It was indeed a very knowledgeable speech giving a deep insight into various facets related to the theme.
