New Delhi: Three children who died on Tuesday in East Delhi’s Mandawali area, the autopsy report revealed that they died due to prolonged starvation.
The girls, aged two, four and eight, died, their post-mortem said starvation was the probable cause.
Meanwhile , the opposition parties- Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress hit out on Aam Aadmi Party for the issue.
On Saturday, The BJP’s Delhi Workers Staged UPVAAS – DHARNA led by BJP President Manoj Tiwari at Parliament Street, New Delhi.
Manoj Tiwari expressing shock over the deaths of three minor girls in east Delhi’s Mandwali area allegedly due to starvation, said,
“It was sad that such an incident occurred in Delhi, where the local government claims to be the champions in ration distribution to the poor. It saddens us beyond expression that such an incident happened in the constituency of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. if people living in Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s constituency could meet such a fate, imagine what would be the everyday challenges faced by people living in other areas”.
“There was no trace of fat on their bodies. Postmortem showed the stomach was absolutely empty. It’s a case of gross malnutrition. We demand an inquiry into the incident, ” added Manoj Tiwari.
