BJP HOLDS MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION AGAINST ZERO PERFORMANCE KEJRIWAL GOVERNMENT

Delhi BJP today held a massive demonstration & dharna near Delhi Vidhan Sabha to protest against total maladministration in Delhi.  Party workers sat on an over two hour dharna followed by a massive demonstration at the barricade setup by Delhi Police near Vidhan Sabha.  Police used water cannon and light force to disperse the workers, who were detained and released a little later.  

Thousands of BJP workers including Shri Ramesh Bidhuri MP,  Leader of Opposition in Assembly Shri Vijendra Gupta, former Pradesh President & MP Shri Vijay Goel, MLAs Shri O.P. Sharma & Shri Jagdish Pradhan, M.C.D. Leaders Shri Asish Sood, Shri Yogender Chandolia, Shri Mohan Prasad Bhardwaj, Pradesh Officebearers Shri Tilak Raj Kataria,  Shri Jai Prakash, Smt. Sikha Rai, Smt. Vaishakha Salani, Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor, Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh, Shri Anad Sahu, Shri Vinod Tyagi,  former MLAs Shri Pawan Sharma, Shri Sahab Singh Chauhan, Shri Kulwant Rana, Shri Mohan Singh Bishth, Shri Subhash Sachdeva, Shri Dharm Dev Solanki, Shri Jitender Singh Shunty, Shri Ranjit Singh Kashyap and District Presidents Shri Raj Kumar Ballan, Ch. Chote Ram, Shri Vijay Pandit, Shri Jayender Dabas, Shri Virender Sachdeva, Dr. Anil Gupta, Dr. Kanwar Sain, Shri Raj Kumar Grover, Shri Satender Singh, Shri Suresh Sharma, Shri Rajan Tiwari along with Municipal Councillors, District and Mandal Office bearers joined the Dharna.

Addressing the demonstrators Shri Ramesh Bidhuri MP said that the present government of Shri Arvind Kejriwal has totally failed on the expectation of the masses in a very short period. Today the administration has totally collapsed in the city. There is a total breach of trust between the government & officials who have stopped taking initiative as a result of which development work has come to a standstill.  Shri Bidhuri said that this is a zero performance government.

The only government work visible in Delhi is diversion of public funds meant for development towards advertisement campaigns for projection of CM Kejriwal as a Demi God.

Shri Bidhuri said the present government came to power promising free water for all & 50% reduction in power tariff but today we find power tariff rising. Delhi is facing long power cuts even as water taps have run dry. He said BJP demands that Delhi government should with draw the recent 6% hike in electricity bills or give similar subsidy to all consumers.  Shri Bidhuri said that there are reports of further rise power tariff and if it happens BJP will strongly protest.

Former Pradesh President & MP Shri Vijay Goel said that today Delhi is heading towards a constitutional crisis due to ego of the chief minister & the ruling party. The Delhi city rulers seem to have no respect for democratic values and their anarchism has led to total chaos. What could be a bigger proof of this government being non democratic then the fact that they have Removed Parliamentary QUESTION HOUR from the Business Agenda of Delhi Vidhan Sabha session beginning today.

Shri Tilak Raj Kataria said BJP will not allow this government go scot free and we shall demonstrate at Vidhan Sabha on every working day and force Kejriwal government to work for development.

SDMC leader Shri Asish Sood said the breakdown Delhi witnessed of municipal services like sanitation recently was a result of dirty politics of Shri Arvind Kejriwal of with holding municipal funds. He demanded that Delhi government table 4th Delhi Finance Commission’s Report in the Vidhan Sabha and municipal bodies be paid as per the recommendations of the 3rd Delhi Finance Commission to bring them out of the economic crunch.

Legislative Party Leader Shri Vijendra Gupta said that the Kejriwal government has shamed Delhi. They came to power claiming that our MLAs will not even take salary nor enjoy perks, their integrity honesty will always be above board but today we find Minister in jail for bogus degree, evidence MLAs like Rakhi Bidlan involvement in corruption, Somnath Bharti’s torturing his wife and dozens of MLAs embroiled in anarchism with F.I.Rs being lodged.

Shri Gupta said that BJP legislators will strongly protest against the Kejriwal government’s illegal appointment of 21 Parliamentary Secretaries and the efforts to provide them major perks at the cost of exchequer.

Shri Vijendra Gupta said apart from raising 27 prominent issues related to Delhi the BJP will has given notice to the Speaker of Vidhan Sabha for bringing 6 Non Government Resolutions demanding Appointment of Lokayukta in Delhi, Expulsion of jailed Jitendra Singh Tomar from the House, Tabling of 4th Delhi Finance Commission’s Report etc.

He assured party demonstrators that though small in number BJP MLAs will strongly reflect the spirit of today’s Dharna in the Vidhan Sabha too.
