BJP Is making plans to educate only rich class, alleges KYS

Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) strongly criticized the BJP-led Central Government for abdicating its duty of educating masses by launching online courses. KYS stated that,  these Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) are being launched on a portal SWAYAM with the purported claims of educating masses, even while the government’s launching of such online ‘open’ courses implies renunciation of its duty to enable students from deprived and marginalized sections to reach secondary and higher education, since it would absolve the government of its duty to dedicate more resources and create more infrastructure in the higher education sector.

The move comes at a time when the government is steadily decreasing funds in the higher education and actively promoting privatisation in higher education, KYS told media.
