BJP unveils manifesto for Karnataka Polls, promises UCC, NRC in state

Bengaluru (India), May 1, 2023: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released its manifesto, “BJP Praja Pranalike,” for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly election on May 10, 2023.

The document, launched in Bengaluru, highlights the party’s vision for the state, promising “justice to all, appeasement to none.”

Among the top pledges are the implementation of a uniform civil code, the creation of 10 lakh jobs in the manufacturing sector, and a State Capital Region designation for Bengaluru.

The BJP’s promises extend across all segments of society, including monthly ration kits for households below the poverty line, a fixed deposit scheme for women from scheduled castes and tribes, and a plan to develop Karnataka into an electric vehicle hub. Additionally, the party has pledged to identify 10 lakh housing sites for the homeless and boost public healthcare infrastructure by establishing a clinic with diagnostic facilities in every municipal ward.

The manifesto also promises to boost the tourism sector with Rs. 1,500 crore plan to develop several circuits and corridors that will transform Karnataka into the country’s top tourism hub. Furthermore, the BJP has pledged to improve the “ease of living” for apartment residents in Bengaluru through a consultative committee and launch an initiative to drive collaboration between small and medium-sized industries and industrial training institutes.

The BJP’s Praja Pranalike manifesto, crafted based on inputs gathered by party workers from every corner of the state, covers a wide range of topics and seeks to address the needs of all segments of society. The party’s promises include the implementation of a uniform civil code, boosting the manufacturing sector with 10 lakh jobs, and designating Bengaluru as a state capital region. With the election just around the corner, voters will have much to consider before casting their ballots.
