Bollywood celebs give a grand farewell to Bappa!
Bollywood celebrities Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty bid adieu to Ganpati with their families on Tuesday. Actor Salman Khan danced energetically to beats of ‘dhols’ at the visarjan of Bappa in a viral video. Even Shilpa was spotted dancing her heart out on the streets wither husband Raj Kundra and son Viaan during the visarjan ceremony in another video.
This year again, Salman Khan’s family celebrated the festival at the residence of Salman’s sister, Arpita Khan Sharma. The actor was seen performing aarti with his loving nephew Ahil, Arpita’s son. Other celebrities, Swara Bhaskar, Daisy Shah, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi were also present for the visarjan ceremony. Previously, Katrina Kaif, Mouni Roy, Prabhu Deva, Amrita Arora, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu along with daughter Inaaya had attended Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Arpita’s home.
On the other hand, Shilpa along with her family had welcomed lord Ganesh in her home on Monday. She had shared the video of herself performing the Ganesh aarti with husband Raj Kundra on Instagram. She wrote, “The energy is inexplicable while performing an aarti. Love how the vibe all around becomes so positive.”

For the visarjan Shilpa donned a Marathi look, she looked spectacular dressed in a pink saree paired with gold fine jewellery and a nathni. Like last year, the actor had an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi this year too.

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most celebrated festivals of India, it is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi. The festival is the celebration of the birth of Lord Ganesha, son of God Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
The festival lasts for 10 days in which people bring bring idols of Lord Ganesh to their home and worship for a one-and-a-half-day, three days, five days, seven days, 10 days. Some even stretch the festival for 11 days.
