Bollywood mourns the demise of BJP leader Arun Jaitley

New Delhi: Bollywood celebrities expressed grief over the demise of former Union finance minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley. Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Anil Kapoor, Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut, Mika Singh and many other from the entertainment industry took to their social media pages to share their reactions on the news.



Jaitley passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) today. He had been admitted to the hospital on August 9 after he complained of restlessness and palpitation. He was kept under ICU at the Cardio Neuro unit of the hospital.

“Deeply saddened and shocked to hear the demise of #ArunJaitley sir. We have lost one of the prominent leaders today. My prayers are with his family and loved ones,” tweeted Sanjay Dutt.

 

Karan Johar also wrote, “#RIPArunJaitley … the nation mourns a strong and assured leader today….thoughts and prayers with his family and loved ones….”

While condoling the death of the politician, Anil Kapoor remembered his first meeting with Jaitley. He tweeted, “Met Shri #ArunJaitley Ji almost 20 years back for the first time & have been his admirer ever since. His demise is a huge loss for our nation. Will be truly missed. My heartfelt condolences to the family. ”

 

Marjaavan actor Riteish was also among the first few to express his condolence as the politician passed away after a prolonged illness.
