New Delhi, 3 October 2022: Today fighter jets of the Indian Air Force were dispatched from Jodhpur and Punjab to intercept an Iranian aircraft allegedly carrying a bomb.

According to top government sources, ground forces were deployed and two Su-30MKI fighter jets were dispatched to intercept the plane shortly after security authorities received information about the bomb threat.

The plane was on its route to China, and when it reached Indian airspace, Indian officials were alerted. The airplane repeatedly had the two jets accompany it as it attempted to land at the Delhi air base but was denied permission to do so. However, the threat of a bomb was later cleared, and the aircraft was then permitted to proceed to its destination in China.

However, the Indian Air Force air stations and aviation units are on high alert, and security forces are closely monitoring the plane and its path toward China. The aircraft is still being intensively monitored by Indian services.
