Building collapse in Mumbai, claims 4 lives

The building located at Pakmodia Street near JJ Hospital in Mumbai including 12 rooms and six godowns on the ground floor, collapsed around 8:30 am on Thursday.

According to fire brigade workers who present at the spot, there were around nine families staying in the building and four people have died in the incident.

South Mumbai BJP corporator Atul Shah said the “crashed building was over a century old and dilapidated like many of the buildings in the locality. But it is not clear whether it is included on the list of dangerous buildings," he added.
