Building collapses in #Hyderabad; 3 killed; 2 saved as rescue operations underway

Hyderabad, Dec 9: An under-constructed building collapsed on Thursday evening in Hyderabad. Three persons have been killed so far in the building collapse. Rescue operation is underway to pull out 10 people believed to be still trapped under the debris. The seven-storied building collapsed in Nanakramguda, an information technology suburb under the limits of Cyberabad police commissionerate limits.

According to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials, the building suddenly collapsed around 10:30 pm on Thursday while workers were engaged in tiling and plumbing work. Some construction workers and their families who were asleep were trapped under the rubble. A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has joined police and fire brigade officials in the rescue operation.
