New Delhi (09/01/2022): Inducing nationalism as part of his party’s campaign in Punjab, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that campaigning for his party was equivalent to working in favour of the nation.
“For AAP, an election is not a medium to change govt but it is a chance to bring about a change in society & the country. When you go campaigning, you need to realize that you are performing a patriotic task”, said AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal addressing party workers digitally.
He also stated that his party’s campaign will focus on promoting the work done by him in Delhi during the past 7 years. “Election Commission has allowed door-to-door campaigning. You should go door-to-door from today itself. When you meet people, tell me about good works done by Delhi Govt. We don’t have to say anything negative against any party. We have to run only a positive campaign, he said.
Meanwhile in Delhi, Kejriwal has also cleared air around rumours of lockdown.
“We don’t want to impose lockdown, we won’t if you wear masks. No intent for lockdown as of now”, said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during an earlier press conference today.
“COVID cases are rapidly rising. About 22,000 cases are expected in today’s health bulletin. Increasing cases concerning but need not be scared. I am saying so after analysing (comparing) data from the last wave,” he added.
