The members meet once in two months to discuss various issues related to school education. A yearly calendar is floated in July after discussing the events that schools wish to host and also planning workshops for teachers. Literary, Art and Cultural competitions are organized by member schools as hosts. Competitions provide a great platform to display the knowledge, skills & hidden talents which students have. It also fosters the development of social and interpersonal skills besides building the confidence of the students.
The idea of Sahodaya Schools Complexes was first mooted by the Education Commission,1966. It was the National Policy on Education, 1966 which reiterated in strong words the need for promoting school complexes for meeting the quality of education. This set the tone for bringing the schools together and networking them for healthy interaction among themselves.
