‘Chance to win lottery’ for Covid vaccinated people, announces UP govt

Lucknow, 4th April: In a press briefing, Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad announced a lucrative scheme for people who have been vaccinated for Covid-19. Prasad said that those who have taken both the doses of Covid-19, during January 16 to April 3, may get a reward from the government.

“The card given for vaccination had a serial number imprinted on it. On April 7, the UP govt will announce the result of the lottery,” said Prasad.

As per the scheme, the UP govt will reward 4 people in the district where upto 25,000 people have taken both the doses of Covid-19. In districts where 25,000 to 50,000 people have been vaccinated, the govt will reward 6 people. In districts with more than 50,000 covid vaccinated people, the govt will reward 8 people.

On Sunday, UP reported 4,164 new cases of corona. The active case count is 19,738. So far, 8,881 have people died from the infection.
