Clash between Pet Dogs turns into deadly confrontation between owners, two die in shootout

New Delhi, August 18, 2023: A minor scuffle between pet dogs culminated in a fatal shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two individuals in Indore on Thursday. The dispute between the dogs’ owners quickly escalated into a heated argument, ultimately leading to the deadly confrontation.
Rajpal Singh Rajawat, a bank security guard, allegedly opened fire on his neighbors from his balcony, killing two people and injuring six others.
The unfortunate incident unfolded in Krishna Bagh Colony around 11 pm when Rajawat and his neighbor, Vimal Achala, were walking their dogs. The pets got into a confrontation, sparking a dispute between the two men. Rajawat reportedly retreated to his first-floor residence, where he fired shots at Achala using a licensed 12-bore rifle.
A chilling video of the incident captured Rajawat firing a warning shot into the air before aiming at the street below. The gunshots were followed by cries of panic from the scene. Tragically, Achala, who ran a local hair salon, and another neighbor, Rahul Verma, lost their lives. Six other individuals who were present during the altercation sustained bullet wounds and have been hospitalized, with two of them in critical condition.
Rajawat, his son Sudhir, and another relative, Shubham, have been arrested in connection with the incident. A murder case has been registered against Rajawat, who hails from Gwalior and had been employed as a security guard due to his possession of a licensed firearm.
