New Delhi (28/12/2021): Congress on Tuesday, on the ocassion of its 137th foundation day organised a flag hoisting ceremony at AICC office.
However, the Congress flag fell off while being hoisted by the interim president of congress, Sonia Gandhi.
Moreover, after a while the flag was hoisted in the second attempt & the event was concluded.
Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Along with several other leaders attended the ceremony.
Indian National Congress was founded on December 28 1885 at Gokuldas Tejpal Sanskrit College in Bombay, with 72 delegates in attendance. Hume assumed office as the General Secretary, and Womesh Chander Bannerjee of Calcutta was elected president.
