New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress (DPYC) held a massive protest against Election Commission over the EVM Tampering charges as levied by a self-proclaimed cyber security expert in London on Monday.

This protest was organised against the recent revelation of alleged EVM tampering by the ruling party during 2014 elections.

The protest began at DPYC headquarters from where the protestors marched to the office of Election Commission of India (ECI). The march was joined by hundreds of party’s youth workers under the leadership of youth wing’s president Vikas Chikara.

Hundreds of youth with placards in hands demands voting should be done through Ballot paper.

Speaking to Ten News, Vikas Chikara said,” Our today’s protest is all about the facts revealed by hacker Syed Suja, who revealed through a press conference about the tampering done with Electronic Voting Machines. After this, EVM is under scrutiny. The charges that polls including 2014 Lok Sabha and some assembly elections were won after tempering these machine are very serious. Our protest is all about these unlawful activities, our demand from Election Commission of India is that it should explain the matter and make the citizens confident about it.”

“If our demands are not materialised then we will hold a nationwide protest from booth, district and every states. This is the faith of more than 125 crore citizens, Election Commission is an independent body and it has to clarify the issue”, Chikara added.

Early this week, a hacker named Syed Shuja revealed that the 2014 Lok Sabha elections were allegedly won by the BJP through tampering EVM Machines.
