Constitution Club of India extends generous support to the poor by feeding thousands of them amid lockdown
Amid the Coronavirus crisis and lockdown in the country, millions of daily wage workers have lost their source of income which has put them at war against hunger and survival.
To help them out, many organizations, NGOs and individuals have came out selflessly to feed them through their own funds or funds received via donation. Constitution Club of India (CCI), an exclusive club for the members of the Indian Constituent Assembly is one such group which has extended support to the needy from its own fund.
Saran’s Member of Parliament and CCI’s Secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy is the man who is leading the campaign from the forefront to feed the poor in this tough time that they are facing.
In a video, Rudy said, “We are producing 10,000 food packets daily at the Constitution club of India. The food packets are distributed to poor people on the request of club members and Delhi government in shelter homes, orphanages etc.”
Members such as New Delhi’s MP Meenakshi Lekhi and Former MP D. Raja are wholeheartedly doing their part by facilitating food for NGO’s such as ‘Save Child Beggar’.
