Covid-19 vaccination for 12-14 years age group to begin from March 16

March 14, New Delhi: The Covid-19 vaccination for children in 12-14 years age-group will begin from March 16, while the comorbidity clause for precautionary dose for people aged 60 & above would now be removed allowing every senior citizen aged 60-plus to get the precautionary dose.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday in a tweet announced “Covid-19 vaccination of children in age group 12-14 will begin from March 16,” He further said, “everyone aged 60-plus will be able to get precautionary doses.”
Moreover, he added, “I urge the families of children and people in the age group of 60-plus that they must get the vaccine.”
As per reports, The COVID-19 vaccine to the 12-14 years age group to be administered would be Corbevax manufactured by Biological Evans, Hyderabad.
